Web application for the University of Twente

Posted 1st Dec, 2016 in Web development

The University of Twente came to me with the request to digitise their modulemap. This was a large overview of all bachelor programs and the courses they follow each quartile.

The starting point was an Excel file with all data and a hand-made PDF that was updated with each change to the modulemap. We decided to create a custom web application for this purpose, making it easier to maintain and to get a better grip on the data.

Although mobile devices were considered, we found that the modulemap as a whole was too big to fit on a mobile device. As such, we made the decision to stay with a desktop application only, which could of course still be viewed on any mobile device.
